When we say we spent years perfecting this formula… we mean it. The team at MooGoo HQ swished their way through dozens of versions – some too cinnamon-y, a few with weird floaty bits and others that were so minty they brought tears to our eyes. The result? A formula that’s gentle, effective and fresh, without the burn.

Say goodbye to bad breath, tooth decay and harsh, synthetic mouthwashes. Our new Moothwash is a natural alternative made with gentle, non-irritating ingredients that support a healthy mouth – no Fluoride, no Alcohol and definitely no nasties.

Instead of common irritants like SLS or SLES, we use Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate – a naturally derived, non-irritating cleanser that helps lift away food particles and plaque. Xylitol, Sorbitol and Glycerin work together to keep your mouth moisturised and comfortable – especially beneficial for those with dry mouth!

With a light, refreshing Spearmint flavour, Moothwash is perfect for daily use, whether it’s after your morning coffee or before a hot date. It’s also housed in a smart, mess-free bottle that makes it easy to dose, swish and go.

Simply give the bottle a gentle squeeze so the mouthwash rises into a separate measuring cup at the top – no mess, no backwash. After flossing and brushing, swish and gargle for 30 seconds, then spit.

As with all natural products, patch test for allergies before use. Store below 30˚C.

What's changed in the new Moothwash formula?

We've given Moothwash a refresh! The improved formula now includes DIM and Beetroot Extract, both great for supporting a healthy mouth.

We've also reduced the Peppermint and Spearmint slightly. Our customer feedback mentioned the original had a bit too much bite, so we've toned it down while keeping that fresh, minty feel.

What is DIM and why did you include it?

DIM (3,3′-Diindolylmethane) is a natural compound found in veggies like broccoli and kale - it's sometimes called Bisindole because of its structure. In laboratory studies (Antibiotics, 2023), DIM disrupted the biofilm formed by S. mutans (the bacteria behind plaque and cavities) by around 90%, stopping it from sticking around and doing damage.

Biofilm is the sticky layer that builds up on teeth, wears down enamel and leads to cavities. So anything that keeps it in check is good news for your smile!

What is Beetroot Extract used for?

Beetroot Extract brings natural prebiotics to feed the good bacteria in your mouth, plus a good dose of dietary Nitrates. Once these Nitrates make contact with your oral bacteria, they convert into Nitrites and then Nitric Oxide – a process that's been linked to a healthier, more balanced oral microbiome. Beetroot is also naturally rich in Betalains and Polyphenols, plant compounds known for their antioxidant properties.

How does Moothwash actually clean my mouth?

Nope! Our formula is pH-balanced to be kind to sensitive mouths. No harsh burn, just a clean, fresh feeling.

P.S. If you haven’t used a mouthwash in a while, it might feel extra zingy the first couple of times. Don’t worry, that settles quickly!

How do you use the bottle?

Does it help with bad breath?

What does it taste like?

How long do I swish and gargle for?

About 30 seconds should do the trick, but feel free to go longer if you prefer.

Is it safe to swallow accidentally?

Sometimes the swish turns into a sip! If you or your kids accidentally swallow a small amount, it’s not harmful. Our natural formula is free from Fluoride, Alcohol and synthetic preservatives. At worst, there might be a bit of a tummy grumble, but we recommend spitting it out as intended.

Can I use this if I have sensitive gums or a dry mouth?

You sure can! Our Moothwash was made with sensitive mouths in mind! It’s Alcohol-free, pH-balanced and includes ingredients like Glycerin and Xylitol, which help soothe and moisturise.

Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

We recommend having a chat with your healthcare provider before using Moothwash if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, particularly given the formula contains DIM.
