Is Skin Hero just a liquid version of my MooGoo Moisturiser?

Not quite! They both use skin-loving natural oils, but they have different roles:

• Moisturisers are like a drink of water: hydrating your skin from the inside out.
• Skin Hero Body Oil is more like a protective raincoat: made mostly of nourishing oils that lock in moisture, support your skin barrier and leave skin soft and glowing.

Why does the ingredient list include Water and Glycerin when normal body oils don't?

Great catch! Most oils don’t mix with water. We’ve added a tiny splash of Water and Glycerin so the Caffeine Extract and antioxidants can work properly.

Think of Skin Hero as a hybrid oil: it gives a little extra hydration while the oils do the heavy lifting of smoothing, nourishing and softening your skin.

I have dry skin. Should I swap my moisturiser for this oil?

It’s up to you! Moisturisers are best for hydration, restoring water loss and treating dry or dehydrated skin. Body Oils are great for sealing in moisture, repairing the skin barrier and improving skin appearance.

Pro tip: Apply Skin Hero to damp skin, then follow with your moisturiser to lock in maximum hydration.

When is the best time to apply body oil?

Apply to damp skin! Right after you hop out of the shower, pat yourself dry (leave a little moisture on the skin) and massage the oil in. The Glycerin in this formula will grab those water droplets and pull them into your skin, while the oils seal them there.

Use AM, PM or both, whatever fits your routine!

Can body oil make you more likely to burn in the sun?

If you’re lounging at the beach all day without SPF, then yes, your skin could be more sensitive to burning.

But for everyday wear, body oil won’t cause sunburn. Just make sure to apply sunscreen once the oil has absorbed, or use Skin Hero in the evening to nourish and repair after sun exposure.

What does Caffeine Extract do?

Caffeine isn’t just for your morning coffee! On skin, it’s a potent antioxidant that helps to invigorate your skin’s appearance, promote a firmer, ‘awake’ look and support overall healthy-looking skin.

Can I mix the Body Oil with a moisturiser or lotion?

Of course! Pump your moisturiser into your palm, add a few drops of the Body Oil, mix and apply. It’s great for dry winter skin or tricky areas like elbows and knees.

Can I use this on my face?

We recommend using Skin Hero on the body only as the formula may feel too heavy and for some, could clog pores.

• For dry or mature skin: try our 100% Rosehip Face Oil to replenish skin.
• For acne-prone skin: stick with 100% Tamanu Face Oil to calm redness and reduce blemishes.

Can I use this during pregnancy and postpartum?

Yes! Skin Hero is great for use during pregnancy and postpartum. Its nourishing blend of oils helps soothe itchiness and supports your skin’s elasticity, the perfect companion for growing bellies. By keeping skin hydrated as it stretches and changes, Skin Hero helps maintain a smooth, comfortable feel every day, leaving skin nourished, radiant and healthy.

How much should I use?

A little goes a long way! Apply a few drops to clean, damp skin and massage in. For extra hydration, layer with a MooGoo moisturiser.

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

Absolutely. Skin Hero is free from Phthalates, Petroleum Jelly, Phenoxyethanol, Parabens and more.

Because it contains Caffeine and a light Vanilla & Lime fragrance, we recommend a quick patch test before full-body use.

Why isn’t the Body Oil bottle filled to the top?

Our Body Oil is filled by volume, not by how full the bottle looks. While the bottle may appear around three-quarters full, you’re still receiving the full 110ml listed on the label.

We’ve chosen a slightly larger bottle to allow for clean filling, secure sealing and safe transport. Lightweight oils move easily, and the extra space helps prevent leaks during transit and allows the pump to work smoothly. This means your Skin Hero arrives in great condition, is easier to use and still contains the exact amount promised, just with a little extra breathing room in the bottle.
