Hi, I'm Dr Vanessa Ribas - a holistic dentist based in New South Wales.
With over 25 years of experience in Dentistry, I’ve explored a wide range of oral care products, from traditional formulations to more natural alternatives. As my approach has evolved toward a more holistic and integrative model, so too has my interest in ingredients that support oral health in a gentle, biologically aligned way.
In that context, I’ve chosen to collaborate with MooGoo, a brand whose philosophy aligns with my interest in simple, thoughtfully formulated products and a more natural approach to personal care.
In the past, natural oral care products were often limited to being Fluoride-free without offering meaningful support for enamel remineralisation, which made transitioning away from conventional options more challenging. Today, ingredients such as Hydroxyapatite have gained attention for their ability to support enamel by helping to replenish lost minerals and maintain surface integrity.
There is also growing interest in compounds like Theobromine, naturally found in cocoa, which may contribute to enamel strength and support a balanced oral environment. Together, these types of ingredients are being explored for their potential to promote overall enamel health.
From a personal perspective, I appreciate oral care products that leave the mouth feeling clean, fresh and comfortable, with a pleasant but not overpowering flavour profile. Subtle improvements in smoothness and brightness of the teeth can also enhance the overall brushing experience.
When selecting an oral care product, individuals need to consider their unique needs and preferences. Consulting a dental professional can help guide appropriate choices based on personal oral health circumstances.
We created our original Toothpaste years ago for families who wanted an alternative to Fluoride, but didn’t want to compromise on results. It took years to perfect and was developed alongside dental professionals and real customers who were searching for a way to support strong, healthy teeth without Fluoride.
And so, our Peppermint Moothpaste was born.
Instead of Fluoride, we use Hydroxyapatite and Theobromine to remineralise teeth, strengthen enamel and reduce sensitivity. They help fill in tiny surface cracks and scratches, making it harder for bacteria to settle in and kick-start decay.
So what is Hydroxyapatite? It’s the very same mineral that makes up your tooth enamel - over 90%! And Theobromine is naturally derived from the cocoa plant. Together, they make Moothpaste a brilliant option for sensitive teeth, growing smiles or anyone choosing a cleaner routine.
We’ve also included Xylitol to help prevent plaque and bacteria from sticking to teeth, plus Stevia Leaf Extract for a gentle sweetness without added sugar. The result is a light, refreshing peppermint toothpaste that feels clean, tastes great and gives you confidence every time you brush.

As a dental professional, I’m mindful of how oral care products influence the natural balance of the oral microbiome. While many conventional mouth rinses rely on stronger antiseptic agents that broadly reduce bacteria, there is growing awareness that this approach may also affect beneficial oral flora.
The MooGoo Moothwash provides a more balanced alternative. It contains Xylitol, which is non-fermentable by cariogenic bacteria, along with plant-derived ingredients such as Spearmint and Peppermint Oils that offer a mild, refreshing effect with gentle antimicrobial properties.
The absence of Alcohol makes it suitable for individuals prone to dry mouth or sensitivity, as it is less likely to cause mucosal irritation. Supporting adequate saliva and maintaining a stable oral environment are key factors in preserving a healthy oral microbiome.
With carefully selected ingredients, this formulation supports daily use without the intensity of more traditional rinses.
Mouth rinses should be used as an adjunct to brushing and interdental cleaning, which remain essential for effective plaque control, a key factor in maintaining a healthy oral environment.
