Pets can suffer from the same skin problems that we humans do. Dr Zoo’s Scratch Cream is a moisturiser designed to help address dry and scratchy skin using edible oils and other soothing ingredients such as Aloe Vera, Chamomile and Colloidal Oatmeal, which is a well-known calming ingredient for pet’s skin. This moisturiser is ideal for applying to pet's dry and scratchy areas. We also use natural, concentrated extracts such as Centella Asiatica, for further calming. For the years, our customers have known first-hand the benefits of our cream and thanks to their word-of-mouth recommendations, we have been helping more and more pets.

DIRECTIONS

Apply moisturiser to affected areas as often as required. Not an easy task but try to distract your pet to let the cream soak into the skin as long as possible. If symptoms persist consult your vet. As with all-natural products, patch test first to check for allergies.

INGREDIENTS

Aqua (H₂O’s fancy name), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Emulsifying Wax, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol (Plant-Based Emulsifying), Squalane (Olive), Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour, Polysorbate 60 (Food-Based Emulsifier), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera), Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola) Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract (Chamomile), Xanthan Gum (Food Grade Thickener), Piroctone Olamine (Olamine Salt), Sodium Phytate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E), Allantoin, Humulus Lupulus (Hops) Extract.

Please be aware that the ingredients we use in our formulas may be updated occasionally and therefore vary from time to time. Please refer to the ingredient list on the product packaging for the most up-to-date and relevant list of ingredients.

FAQS

What can you do if you have an scratchy pet?

First, try to identify where your pet is scratching the most and see if you can find something that would be triggering them to scratch. Then, talk to your vet. If you are a pet parent with a scratchy pet looking for natural alternatives or if you are currently using anti-inflammatory or steroid creams and you want to try something natural, we recommend our Ditch the Itch Pack.

Is this a dog moisturiser?

Yes, this is a moisturiser designed to help address scratchy skin. If you're looking for an all-round dog moisturiser, we recommend you use our Crusty Nose Itchy Toes Balm.

You say your products are safe for dogs & puppies to lick, but Aloe Vera is unsafe for dogs & puppies to ingest?

The main part of Aloe Vera to avoid for dogs is Saponin, which is contained mainly in the leaf. In skincare, a concentrated powder of Aloe Vera is always used. Aloe is mostly water so pure leaf gel isn’t concentred enough to do anything in a skincare product, and the preservation of the raw gel is very difficult. Therefore, our understanding is that ingestion of the whole, fresh, Aloe Vera leaf, including the skin, is what pets need to avoid.

    Dry and itchy ears

My dog had extremely dry and flaky ears that appeared out of the blue which caused some itchiness. I had tried a medicated ointment with no success and then went to this product which helped to fully heal the dryness. Very happy with the cream and saw improvements overnight, the ears were fully healed after about 3 days.

    Relief at last

We tried everything for our tenterfield terrier Tessa, who has allergies. Vet visit and tablets, sensitive shampoo and conditioner, new bedding, etc. She just kept scratching until she was red raw. We only bought this recently along with the sensitive shampoo and conditioner, and nose and paw butter. We have used the products once so far and there has been a difference already. Tessa has stopped a lot of her scratching, and is more comfortable. Definitely going to keep using.

The first photo is before we tried the products. The other three are after one use.
