We’re here, lets chatPets need sun protection too. This natural, Zinc-free Sun Cream is perfect for those sun loving pets as we use edible oils along with Titanium Dioxide to provide sun protection as an alternative to Zinc, which is toxic for pets when consumed in large quantities. Animals that have light coloured noses, thin or missing fur, or that just like to sunbake upside down exposing their bellies, are most in need of sun protection because pets can get sunburnt just like us.
Apply to the nose, ear tips, skin surrounding the lips, and any area where skin is exposed to the sun, particularly pink skinned areas. Re-apply after swimming.
Aqua (H₂O’s fancy name), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Titanium Dioxide (Sun Protection), Glycerin (Sugar Alcohol), Dicaprylyl Carbonate (Emollient), Coco-Caprylate (Coconut-Based Conditioner), Cetearyl Glucoside and Cetearyl Alcohol (Plant-Based Emulsifying Wax), Ethyl Oleate (Stabiliser), Glycerol Stearate (Emulsifier), Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate (Stabiliser), Polyhydroxystearic Acid (Emulsifier), Carrageenan (Stabiliser), Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E), 1,2-Hexanediol and Caprylyl Glycol (Preservatives), Aluminium Stearate (Emulsifier), Alumina (Preservative), Xanthan Gum (Food Grade Thickener), Piroctone Olamine (Olamine Salt), Naringin (Bitter Orange Flavour), Humulus Lupulus (Hops) Extract, Camelia Sinensis (Green Tea) Extract, Tropolone (Preservative).
Please be aware that the ingredients we use in our formulas may be updated occasionally and therefore vary from time to time. Please refer to the ingredient list on the product packaging for the most up-to-date and relevant list of ingredients.
Can my dog get sunburnt?
Yes, even when fur and pigmented skin act as a natural barrier to sunlight and the harmful effects of UV radiation. White dogs with pink skin and some breeds with naturally thin coats are more at risk. Mainly the nose, underbelly and inside of the legs and ears though can be affected by sun damage on any pet. White cats have a higher incidence of developing dangerous tumours (squamous cell carcinomas) as a result of excessive exposure to UV light and it is important these cats are kept mainly indoors.
Is this Sun Cream broad-spectrum?
Yes, we use Titanium Dioxide which is considered broad-spectrum.
