You know that little tube of paw paw ointment almost everyone has stashed in a handbag, pocket or bedside drawer? The one you reach for when your lips are chapped, your heels are cracked or a dry patch just won’t quit? We loved the idea, but most traditional versions are built on Petroleum Jelly. So we made our own.

Fix-It Balm swaps Petroleum Jelly for a rich blend of Sweet Almond Oil, Castor Oil, Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter. Beeswax and natural plant waxes hold it together in a protective, nourishing balm. Then we added Calendula, Marshmallow Root, Hops and Cucumber Seed Oil to help soothe dry, stressed-out skin. The result is a pocket rocket that does basically everything except milk the cows (and you could probably use it on their sore udders too!).

As always with MooGoo, we choose not to use traditional filler ingredients that are cheap but don’t do much for the skin, like Silicones. We also leave out more questionable synthetic ingredients like Parabens and Phenoxyethanol.

Is Fix-It Balm a paw paw ointment?

It’s our Petroleum-free take on the classic paw paw tube. It doesn’t contain Pawpaw, but it’s made for the same everyday jobs: chapped lips, dry patches, rough elbows, cuticles and cracked heels. It uses plant oils, butters and waxes instead of Petroleum Jelly.

Where can I use the Fix-It Balm?

Almost anywhere! It’s most loved on chapped lips, chafing, dry patches, blemishes, redness and cracked skin. It’s suitable for the face and body, including lips. Reapply as needed throughout the day.

Does the Fix-It Balm contain Petroleum-based ingredients?

No way! We ditched Petroleum Jelly and Mineral Oil for Sweet Almond Oil, Shea Butter and natural waxes to make an intensely moisturising, nourishing balm.

Why don’t you use Pawpaw in the Fix-It Balm?

Pawpaw contains Papain, a natural enzyme that can irritate some people, especially those with sensitive skin. So we focused on gentle, nourishing ingredients instead.

Can I use Fix-It Balm on Eczema and Psoriasis?

Fix-It Balm is a moisturising balm, not a treatment. Many of our customers use it alongside our Eczema & Psoriasis range to help nourish and soothe dry, cracked areas. If you’re managing a skin condition, check with your GP or dermatologist.

Does Fix-It Balm taste or smell like Marshmallows?

As tasty as that would be, no! We use Marshmallow Root, which comes from the root of the Marshmallow plant (Althaea officinalis), not the lolly. It’s been used for generations for its skin-soothing properties.

What do the waxes in Fix-It Balm do?

Beeswax, Candelilla Wax and Carnauba Wax form a light protective layer on the skin that helps seal in moisture. That’s what makes the balm so effective on chapped lips and cracked skin.

Is Fix-It Balm suitable for people with nut or soy allergies?

Fix-It Balm contains Sweet Almond Oil (a tree nut) and Soy Lecithin. If you have a nut or soy allergy, please patch test and check with your doctor before use.

Can this balm be used on all skin types?

Of course! It’s suitable for all skin types and all ages, including babies and those with sensitive skin. As with any new skincare product, patch test before first use.
