As all parents know, babies often get sensitive skin around the nappy area. This can be caused by either a reaction to urea, or yeast. Moving around as much as they tend to doesn’t help the situation much either. The introduction of a barrier cream could help soothe this and we think Zinc does the trick.

But we wanted to make something more than just a barrier cream so we added in a whole bunch of goodness to this cream to help care for the tender area and help it along with lovely soothing and anti-yeast ingredients to address the cause, not just the symptoms.

As a parent, our formulator knows just how careful all parents are as to what goes on their child's skin. That’s why he created the baby range when his own kids came along. For more information about baby skin problems click here.

Tip: Also suitable for dribble rash.

FAQs

My child has a nut allergy. Do I need to use nut-free skin care products?

Most allergies to nuts are triggered by nut proteins, not nut oils. But when it comes to allergic reactions many people choose to be extra cautious and avoid anything made with nut oils as well. For that reason, we made this cream without nut oils to give parents of children with allergies peace of mind.

Can I use MooGoo on a newborn?

We get this question a lot. But the answer is YES! All of our products are suitable for newborns but we suggest you always patch test first to check for allergies to any natural ingredients.

My baby accidentally ate some of the product, will they be ok?

We don’t recommend using our products as baby food, but if some is ingested you can rest assured that our products are made from 100% natural, edible ingredients.

Why did you switch from a 75g Nappy Balm pump to a 120g Nappy Balm Tube? Is the 75g pump still available to purchase?

We decided to switch to a 120g tube for numerous reasons including consistency with packaging design across the range and reducing our packaging for this product by removing the pump and the cardboard box needed for the 75g bottle. The 75g Nappy Balm will no longer be available online but will be available in stores while stock lasts.

How come the price for Nappy Balm 120g tube is the same as the original 75g pump?

When calculating prices there are many factors to consider including production costs, packaging elements, manufacturing, etc. It actually costs us more to produce the 75g tube than the 120g size, which is why we’re able to offer it at the same price as before. By switching to a 120g tube we’ve been able to save on packaging, and therefore provide you with MORE product, for the same price. Don’t worry, there hasn’t been a change to our beloved formula!

What does "Dermatologically Tested" mean?

You may have seen the term “Dermatologically Tested” on lots of products before, but did you know there’s not an actual definition or regulation for this term? Because that didn’t sit right with us, and because our aim is to make products for people with really sensitive skin, we decided to send a bunch of them off to be tested in an independent lab on 54 people who reported having sensitive skin. The results were given on a scale of 0 to 5 with 0 being no irritation or redness and 5 being a reaction. We’re happy to report that other than one person who had a reaction to the adhesive on the patch and another who found the patches painful to remove, all subjects reported 0 for redness and irritation for all the products we sent for testing. To check out the full report and summary of the test we did on this product, click here.

For more than just the bub’s ☺️

I can not rate this product enough! ☺️👍

I have something of a story to tell regarding using the Moo Goo Nappy Balm on my face to save me from a long suffered skin irritation by the name of Perioral Dermatitis. For years I suffered with dry, irritated and blistered skin all over my lower face due to this inflammation of the skin. At times the flare up’s, frustration, pain from my skin and tears felt never ending as I tried to find something to help. I tried every natural treatment I could find, endlessly hoping something might help. I was desperate to avoid using heavy steroid creams advised by doctors. Then one day, by chance, I saw a young mum on a tv segment who had the same issue & thought she would try her baby sons nappy rash cream. Zinc is very good for helping skin, so she thought she had nothing to loose by giving it a go.

Within a week, her Perioral Dermatitis was gone. The product she had used? Moo Goo Baby Nappy Balm.

I thought that’s it! If it worked for her, I will give it a go. I’ll try anything at this point! Just like her …. 1 week later, for the 1st time in years, my dermatitis was gone. Just like that ….. completely gone.

For anyone who has skin irritations and inflammations, there is no way to express the relief and joy that comes from having unblemished, non irritated skin. To this day, each and every evening I put this product on my face to keep the dermatitis away. It has never skipped a beat since I started using it several years ago now. Rich…

    Heaven sent!!!

This product is by far the best nappy balm I have used on my son!! He had a fungal rash, I didn't want to use something with harsh chemicals. So I ordered this product. It took maybe a week and a bit for the rash to fully heal. It immediately soothed and took away all redness on the first use. Definitely recommend this to all parents out there it is a must have!!!
