We have made an all natural moisturiser full of powerful anti-oxidants with SPF 15 protection. Anti-0xidants help protect the skin from free radical damage, UV radiation being one cause of free radical skin damage. We do not use token amounts, in fact our cream is a light purple/brown colour because of the amount of anti-oxidants we have used and the Red Raspberry Seed Oil (for natural SPF) in the formula. We have also used the best natural moisturising oils we could find.

There are two ways to achieve sun protection. Firstly UV filter chemicals can be used. We again urge people to do a little bit of their own research into UV Filters. The second way is to use a physical barrier using either Zinc Oxide or Titanium Dioxide. We chose to use only non-nano Zinc Oxide.

Directions: We designed this cream to be thick and moisturising to protect the skin from drying out . Best applied after washing the face. After 3-5 minutes check in the mirror and smooth out any areas of extra cream. Enjoy Summer!

MooGoo is proud to show ALL our ingredients on our website and packaging, not just the "Actives" or nicest sounding ones.

Ingredients: Purified Water, Jojoba Oil, Aloe Vera, Zinc Oxide (non-nano), Olive Squalene, Coco Caprylate, Cetearyl Glucoside (Glucose Based Emulsifier) , Cetearyl Alcohol (Plant Based Emulsifier), Red Raspberry Seed Oil, Green Tea Extract (Standardised 90% EGCG), Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate (Stabilized PureVitamin C), Natural Vitamin E, Piroctone Olamine, Allantoin, Hop Extract.

Did you know that the it is only one main compound in Green Tea called "EGCG" that is responsible for most of Green Tea's amazing properties? The rest is just mostly leaf matter.  So although "Green Tea Extract" on a label could be just a tea bag dipped in water, we purchase 90% Pure EGCG which is so concentrated it is looks like this white powder. It is expensive too, but if you Google "EGCG UV Radiation" you should see why we think paying extra for the real thing is well worth it.

Why did we choose only SPF 15?   SPF 15 means that 94% of UV is blocked. SPF 30 gives just 4% more at 98% of UVB blocked. We felt that it was best to have a nice healthy cream with good moisturising properties and blocking 94% of UV, rather than adding some UV Filter chemicals for a relatively small gain.

Can it be used on Children? A quick read though our ingredients will soon show how healthy the total formula is for children as well as adults. Anti-oxidants are good for anyone going into the sunlight and helps prevent potential oxidisation of the skin. It is never too young to protect the skin using healthy anti-oxidants.

Why don't we make it water-proof?  In order to be waterproof we would either need to add some special chemicals, or make the cream much more greasy to resist water. We have chosen to have a cream with a nice feel on the skin and all natural. Not everyone swims every day and there are other waterproof creams available if needed.

Will you make it in a larger size? We will have a similar cream of a larger size available in 3 months. However, the larger product will not contain the same level of anti-oxidants as this would make the large size very expensive. We felt that for the face, we would create the most amazing formula we could. For the body, the cream will still be all natural and moisturising, but also affordable.

There is a lot we are not allowed to say about sun protection. Even the cheapest sunscreen is a therapeutic product and by regulation therapeutic products cannot be questioned in advertising including websites. They also do not have to show all ingredients on the label. A lot of organizations sell their own sunscreens to raise funds so truly independent opinion is difficult to find.  We encourage everybody to do their own research to come up with their own opinion on various SPF products.  For research we suggest using Google Scholar (www.scholar.google.com)  which provides scientific journal articles, not opinions.  Search for articles under "Sunscreen and Melanoma".  It is in everybody's interest to be well informed about skin cancer.
