Jojoba Oil

Jojoba Oil is one of the most moisturising skin care oils around. It is light and sinks into the skin easily. Curiously, Jojoba Oil is actually a liquid wax.

Apricot Oil

Extracted from extracted from the kernel, we’ve added Apricot oil to soften skin

Olive Squalene

One of our favourite moisturising oils. It helps leave your skin moisturized and dewy. It is good for all skin types, including acne prone skin.

Our body produces a small amount of squalane, but the amount diminishes when we get older, starting in our twenties. Squalane is required for our skin to keep it moisturized and fight aging. It is also an unique antioxidant from olives that protects our skin from free-radical damages.

Since Olive squalane's composition is very similar to human sebum, it can penetrate our skin very quickly to help our skin to fight dryness. It enhances skin elasticity and moisture retention.

Cetearyl Alcohol

Sunflower Oil

Sunflower Oil  is rich in vitamins A, D, and especially in vitamin E and essential fatty acids. Sunflower oil has a light texture making it very comfortable on babies skin.

Grapeseed Oil

Grape Seed Oil is another light oil and is excellent for moisturizing the skin.   Grape seed oil is is very high in antioxidants and contains high amounts of vitamin E, vitamin C, Beta-Carotene, and vitamin D

Aloe Vera

Most people already know the healing and soothing benefits of Aloe Vera. We loved it before we made skin care, and we love it in our creams.

Dimethyl sulfone (MSM Organic Sulphur)

MSM is an Organic Sulphur compound which is present in every cell of the body. MSM has been proven to be a great skin softener and soothing compound for irritated skin. Studies have shown it also helps improve the production of collagen and keratin and is often used in many anti-ageing cosmetic applications. It is non-toxic and promotes healthy skin for all types.

Emulsifying Wax

Creams are made from a mix of purified water and oils so as to be more moisturising than oil alone. To hold water and oils together, they need an emulsifying wax.  We use a plant based wax that allows the water and oils to stay together.

Resveratrol

A new ingredient, Resveratrol may be an important additive to skin products to reduce the risks of skin cancer, according to recent studies.

Standardised Green Tea Extract (EGCG and Green Tea Polypheols)

Green Tea is well known for its strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory actives

Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate

Anti-Oxidants help prevent skin oxidisation and so in theory can help prevent the signs of ageing. The difficulty is developing ingredients that can stay stable long enough to penetrate the skin to work their magic. Ascobyl Tetraisopalmitate is the latest and most expensive form of the Vitamin C anti-oxidant.  It also helps with pigmentation. A typical study is shown here.

Milk Protein

Cognis research found that milk protein in a cream increased skin elasticity by around 20% compared to the same cream without.  Skin elasticity ensures lines and wrinkles are minimized after any movement of the skin.
Dairy Allergies: Most people with milk allergies are allergic to Lactose in milk, not the protein. However, as with all natural products, they should be patch tested on a small area of skin first.

Allantoin
(Comfrey Root Active)

Comfrey Root has long been known as a healing plant. Allantoin was identified as the part of the plant that performed this function and it has since been synethised to make it more concentrated and effective.  So the allantoin we use is the pure ingredient. Allantoin has been termed a cell proliferant in texts such as the "United States Dispensatory". It is said to clean away dead tissue, hastening the growth of new healthy tissue. Allantoin has been also termed a counter irritant. Allantoin produces its desirable effects by promoting and speeding up the healthy, natural processes of the body. It helps the skin to help itself. It is also promoted as preventing lines and wrinkles by assisting skin repair

Vitamin B 5 (Pantothenic acid),

Vitamin B 5 works to lowers the amount of oil/sebum on the skin

Piroctone Olamine

Non-irritating  Olamine salt  with which helps keep the cream sterile and free from yeast and mould.

Capric Triglyceride (Fractionated coconut oil),

We’re used coconut oil as a stabiliser and also helps to moisturise the skin

Natural Vitamin E

We use natural Vitamin E which is a mix of both Alpha and Gamma Tocopherol. This is important as many products use only Alpha Tocopherol Vitamin E, while it is  Gamma Tocopherol that is is considered the best anti-oxidant for skin. Vitamin E functions on the skin to protect cells against free-radical damage, and an abundant assortment of researchers from diversified medical fields have theorized that this can slow the aging process. Citric Acid (Fruit Acid to Balance pH),

Citric Acid is a weak fruit acid used as a fruit based PH Balancer

Vanilla Resin

Vanilla Resin is used as a gentle emollient
