Katie

"I have been a nurse for over 14 years and have dedicated my nursing career to working in oncology. I have had experience working in both public and private sectors working in the inpatient and outpatient settings, as a nurse specialist, cancer support nurse, a clinical trials coordinator and as a clinical nurse consultant in breast care. Currently, I work as a McGrath metastatic breast care nurse and have the privilege of holding the co-chair position for the CNSA Victoria and Tasmania State Group Committee. I continually further myself through education and have completed postgraduate studies with a certificate in breast cancer nursing and a diploma in cancer and palliative care. I am currently completing a Masters in Advanced Nursing Practice to become a nurse practitioner and continually strive to improve patient outcomes in oncology."

Emma

"I have been a cancer care nurse for over 12 years. During this time, I have worked in various nursing roles from direct patient care, clinical nurse educator, clinical nurse consultant and associate nurse unit manager, all connected to the care of patients with a cancer diagnosis. My passion is to deliver the best care possible to cancer patients and their families. This is why I have enrolled in a Master of Nurse Practitioner. Over the next two years I will be developing professionally and exploring models of cancer care in Tasmania. I am grateful to Craig Jones and the MooGoo team for their generosity in supporting my study. I am so appreciative to have the opportunity."
